Rhododendrons

Now, I love all flowers and plants, but I especially like peonies and rhododendrons (and trees and wild flowers and ... ).

Last weekend I went to the largest rhododendron parks in our area - and it was overwhelming! Here are a few photos for you - only, it was so bright and sunny that even after "dimming" the photos in Photoshop, everything still seems too glaring. Or maybe I had the camera settings wrong ...

One of the best parts is walking over some tiny isles in the park lake, because the isles are connected by stepping stones, a small suspension bridge ...

... and pontoons!

The only drawback: it was sunny, it was Mother's Day, and there were way too many people visiting! This Sunday it's predicted to rain, so I might visit there again for a whole different type of atmosphere - and photos

  Used to? What did they do, pull them all out?
  
  I did hear the rhododendrons that grow in the wild are not very popular among those trying to protect nature, because they're like weeds.

  No, I haven't heard about the one in Bremen. What is "it", and what is special about it? Or are you talking about the largest blossom in the world, the one that stinks so badly (can't remember the plant's name)?
  
  You may not have so many flowers around you at the moment, but you have lots of great folks and even more delicious food there!
